Steps
Since 1985 and the exit of the Beaux-Arts in Paris, I work in my studio and live with other artists in wasteland and artistic squats.
I opened up a lot of paths there, including a new concept that I call PROVISIONAL MONUMENTS : these are large polyptychs mounted on scaffolding, monumental works independent of the exhibition space and which can be placed both indoors and outdoors. 'outside. They play with their architectural dimensions to offer the city a new space of freedom and imagination. The plastic proposal comes from the meeting between my research and the human, aesthetic or historical reality of the place of establishment.
The central themes are the image of man facing death, the incarnation, the imaginary journey, the corporeality, the sensuality.
Following this research, I worked with dance troupes. This collaboration continued for several years and we offered different productions ranging from performance and improvisation during vernissage to full shows with live musicians.
This dynamic led me to found and organize artistic wasteland the Pole Pi in Paris, the galleries "Le Manège" in Berlin with my friends Jean-Claude Pennes and Julieth Mars Toussaint, the RVI wasteland and the Lamartine wasteland in Lyon .
From 2004 to 2010, settled in Lyon in the RVI wasteland, I created an-organics. They are improbable sexual corporealities against a background of abstract gestural painting.
The dissemination of this research is done through new image technologies, digital editions, internet, projections, Vdjing.
I opened and organized an open stage-theater " La NeXTe ".
Following the arson attack in my studio in 2010, I am developing a work on paper and in video projection with celestial bodies in the artistic wasteland Lamartine. We founded the Transluxphotonpostflash group with other artist friends.
Always passionate about cooking, I have been implementing a new concept since early 2017 combining painting and cooking under the name the painter cook.
